So your listing has been approved by our Onboarding team and now it’s time to set up your accommodation to get bookings. if you haven’t yet done so, please read our How to Add Your Business to Destination South Africa blog.
Before We Begin
We want you to have the best experience on the website and ask that you give us your feedback when it’s possible. Our booking system is in its early stages of development and we would like your input about what you want to see on the form.
Let’s Get Started
To get started, click Profile to access your Dashboard.
You will see the Accommodation/Listings tab and under it, is your listing.
Edit Your Listing Information
If you need to update your information, click on the 3 dots at the bottom of your listing and you will be able to edit the listing.
After clicking Edit, you will be presented with the Add/Edit form that you completed when signing up. Update your information and submit it for approval. The verification process takes less than 24 hours.
Delete Your Listing
If for some reason, you need to delete your listing, click on the 3 dots below your listing and select Delete. After you click Delete, your screen will automatically refresh or refresh your screen by pressing F5 and your listing will be removed from your dashboard.
Add/Edit Room Information
To get started, click Profile to access your Dashboard.
You will see the Accommodation/Listings tab and under it, is your listing.
Click on the Listing name to update the room information. This will show the listing on the website. Scroll down and click on the Setup Booking button.
If you checked both “Is your accommodation bookable?” and/or “Has multiple units?” you will be presented with the Calendar popup and your Listing name – Room 1 displayed in the top right corner.
Select the room you want to edit from the dropdown. Click the Edit Price Data button at the bottom of the screen to update your room’s information.
A new window will open on the right-hand side of the screen.
Update Room Name
To edit the room’s name, click the edit button. Update the name to your preference. Remember to keep your listing name in the name.
Update Nightly Price
To edit the nightly price, click the dropdown button. Update the price to your preference.
Extra Fees
The Extra Fees allows you to charge for additional costs for the room such as a Cleaning Fee (per booking), and an Extra Guest Fee and this can be charged For Each Guest up to a maximum of 10 people.
Length-Of-Stay Discounts
To edit the Length-Of-Stay Discounts, click the dropdown button. Click + Add discount button.
Edit your discount, if any, based on the number of nights and add the discount value.
Last-minute Discounts
To edit the Last-minute Discounts, click the dropdown button. Click + Add discount button.
Edit your discount, if any, based on the number of days and add the discount value.
Early-bird Discounts
To edit the Early-Bird Discounts, click the dropdown button. Click + Add discount button.
Edit your discount, if any, based on the number of months and add the discount value.
Availability
To edit Availability, click the dropdown button.
Edit Minimum Stay and Maximum Stay limits for each night.
If you need to customize the minimum stay based on the day of the week, click the checkbox Customize minimum stay by check in day and edit accordingly.
Check-In and Check-Out Days
To edit Check-In and Check-Out Days, click the dropdown button and choose your days accordingly.
iCalendar Import/Export
To synchronise your email with your mobile phone’s calendar, click and paste the link into your phone.
Once you have completed your information, click Save and Close.
To close the Setup Bookings form, press X on the top right-hand side of the form.
Manage Bookings
To manage your bookings, click on the Manage Bookings button.
The Bookings window will appear and if you have any bookings, they will be displayed here.
